Terms of Service

By using Filmatch, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Service Description

Filmatch is a movie matching app designed for pairs. You and another person swipe on movies independently, and when you both like the same film, it's a match — added to your shared watchlist so you can find something to watch together.

Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts.

Subscription Tiers

• Free limited: Swipe and match with up to 50 swipes per day, view film details, and use one active pair.
• Premium: All Free limited features plus unlimited swipes, one Filmatch Drop per day, advanced filters, and one subscription that covers both paired users.

We reserve the right to modify feature availability across tiers as the service evolves.

Billing & Subscriptions

Premium subscriptions are billed through Apple In-App Purchases. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel your subscription through your Apple ID settings. Eligible purchases can be restored from the subscription screen. Filmatch does not process payments directly.

Pair Codes

Filmatch uses invite codes to pair users. You should only share your pair code with someone you know and want to match movies with. We are not responsible for any issues arising from sharing your code with unintended recipients.

User Conduct

Filmatch does not include free-text user-generated content. You interact by swiping on existing movie data and choosing preset Drop options and times. You agree not to misuse the service, attempt to access other users' accounts, or interfere with the app's operation.

Intellectual Property

Movie data displayed in the app is sourced from third-party providers. The Filmatch name, logo, and app design are owned by Filmatch. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our intellectual property without permission.

Limitation of Liability

Filmatch is provided "as is" for entertainment and convenience purposes. We make no warranties regarding availability, accuracy of movie data, or uninterrupted service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Filmatch shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or misuse the service. You may delete your account at any time from within the app.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of Filmatch after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
